GCU is working closely with a range of partners in New York City to ensure it offers an unrivalled educational program. From the United Nations to the New York Mayor’s Office and the Global Scots network, GCU will draw upon a wealth of knowledge and experience.

GCU was the first Scottish university to become a signatory to PRME, the United Nations agreement on the Principles for United Nations (PRME) Responsible Management Education, and is a member of the UN’s Global Compact on responsible business practices.

The University has also established strong relationships with New York partner universities, community groups and the New York City Economic Development Corporation.  The campus is a partner of Dress for Success, curating a 7-part series of salon events, on innovative workforce development practices in the apparel and accessories industry.

GCU New York will include a program of community engagement initiatives as part of its ‘common good’ mission. It will include the award-winning Caledonian Club, which successfully operates in Glasgow and London, and is already collaborating with the Tribeca Film Institute’s Fellows, a year-round program for young filmmakers.

High-profile figures from the fashion industry, including Honorary Professors from the GCU British School of Fashion, will also lend their expertise, as will local cultural and educational partners.
